Surge Challenge Rules, Terms, and Conditions

Challenge Rules:

• For an entry into the prize pool, participants must send a new and current photo of them praying on location at Planned Parenthood or another abortion facility between the dates of December 12, 2022, and May 31, 2023.
• The photo must be good quality and include the participant praying and a visible indication that they are on location either at a Planned Parenthood or another abortion facility.
• Photos must be sent via email to kbrown@all.org and must include the full names of the participant (or of all participants if more than one person is in a picture) as well as the name of the PRC or grassroots pro-life group they wish to support should they win.
• Participant will be notified via email that their photo entry was accepted and that the PRC or pro-life group they wish to support meets ALL’s qualifications. See full list of qualifications below.
• Participants can enter as many times as they like (but only one entry per day) as long as the photo is different each time.
• Participants must keep a peaceful and respectful presence while they pray in front of the abortion facility. Participants must comply with all local and federal laws and regulations. Anyone breaking the law, causing disruption, inciting violence, or engaging in hostile behavior is NOT associated with or supported by American Life League and will be disqualified from the prize pool.
• The Challenge runs from December 12, 2022, through May 31, 2023. Photo submissions will be accepted through May 31, 2023, at midnight ET.
• Submitting a photo grants American Life League permission to publish the photos in print and online.
• Submitting a photo means the participant fully accepts all terms and conditions.

Prize Details:

• On June 1, 2023, one winner will be drawn at random from the prize pool.
• The winner will be contacted via email. If the winner does not respond by June 5 at 5pm ET, a new name will be drawn.
• The winner will be granted a $500 donation to their pre-approved pregnancy resource center or grassroots pro-life group. See full list of qualifications below.
• The winner will be mailed a Marian Blue Wave prize pack including:
  • A rosary
  • 5 copies of the MBW Prayer Companion
  • An assortment of MBW resources
• The winner will also be interviewed for a feature article in print as well as online.

Qualifications for Acceptable PRC or Grassroots Pro-Life Group:

• When a participant submits a photo, they must also give the name, address, and contact information of the PRC or grassroots pro-life group that they choose to receive the $500 donation should they win.
• Contact information can either be a phone number or an email address.
• The PRC or pro-life group must be a documented Section 501(c)(3) charity.
• The PRC or pro-life group must commit to the Total Protection of all innocent human beings from creation to death—without compromise, without exception, and without apology, and it must actively spread this Total Protection message in its community.
• The PRC or pro-life group must commit to the opposition of all funding for sex education, contraception, and population control programs.
• The PRC or pro-life group must be a local group, meaning they do not have a national audience. Local groups are ones that focus only on their town or geographical area.
• Participant will be notified via email if the PRC or pro-life group they submitted is accepted.

Disclaimer: The person selected for this prize will be able to select a pro-life organization to receive a $500 donation, provided that such organization is legally compliant with Section 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, carries out pro-life work, and is approved by American Life League. In the case the selected organization does not meet these requirements, the winner will have a three day window to select another organization that meets the criteria.
