In my first few months at American Life League, now more than three years ago, I sat in Jim Sedlak’s office for a meeting. Jim asked if I would be interested in helping with a new idea he had: The Marian Blue Wave.
I remember Jim saying to me: “I don’t know what it is yet, but would you like to help with its creation? All we have is the name.”
I said yes, and the rest is history.
Jim Sedlak’s deep devotion to our Blessed Mother touched my life in many ways. He gave me the distinct privilege of being an integral part of the Marian Blue Wave, yes, but it goes so much deeper than that.
Before I was the director of this fine program, I did not have much of a devotion to our Blessed Mother. As a Catholic, I knew and greatly revered her, but I did not have a devotion to her, and I certainly did not pray the Rosary every day—or even every week, for that matter.
It wasn’t until working with Jim that I came to realize the great power that comes with a devotion to Mary.
Jim’s life and his many great accomplishments in the fight against Planned Parenthood are a tried-and-true testament to that. This man was feared by Planned Parenthood and all who worked for the killing machine. And you know what? Now PP should be even more afraid.
Jim has gone home to be with our Lord, and I am confident that our Blessed Mother welcomed him in.
It has struck me that, with Jim up there conspiring with our Blessed Mother, Planned Parenthood hasn’t seen anything yet.
As Jim would say to me often, the only way to stop Planned Parenthood and end abortion is to go through Mary. That is what our Marian Blue Wave is all about.
